This week USPTO granted 32 utility, design, and plant patents to Utah-based inventors. This is the work of 47 named inventors from 28 State municipalities. These numbers are based on the Way Better Count method of tracking patents and inventors.

As of October 20, 2015, the year to date Way Better Count of all patents granted to Utah-based inventors or companies shows 751 patents granted to Utah inventors and 33 patents identified titleholders (assignees) who worked with inventors from the State. Of the entities granted patents, 20 identified their location as being in Utah.
