The Commonwealth @ Tuesday October 20, 2015

This week USPTO granted 109 utility, design, and plant patents to Pennsylvania-based inventors. This is the work of 195 named inventors from 98 Commonwealth municipalities. These numbers are based on the Way Better Count method of tracking patents and inventors.

As of October 20, 2015, the year to date Way Better Count of all patents granted to Pennsylvania-based inventors or companies shows 2362 patents granted to Pennsylvania inventors and 97 patents identified titleholders (assignees) who worked with inventors from the Commonwealth. Of the entities granted patents, 31 identified their location as being in Pennsylvania.
