This week USPTO granted 114 utility, design, and plant patents to North Carolina-based inventors. This is the work of 222 named inventors from 52 State municipalities. These numbers are based on the Way Better Count method of tracking patents and inventors.

As of October 20, 2015, the year to date Way Better Count of all patents granted to North Carolina-based inventors or companies shows 2055 patents granted to North Carolina inventors and 102 patents identified titleholders (assignees) who worked with inventors from the State.
