This week USPTO granted 116 utility, design, and plant patents to Florida-based inventors. This is the work of 195 named inventors from 96 State municipalities. These numbers are based on the Way Better Count method of tracking patents and inventors.

As of October 20, 2015, the year to date Way Better Count of all patents granted to Florida-based inventors or companies shows 2330 patents granted to Florida inventors and 96 patents identified titleholders (assignees) who worked with inventors from the State. Of the entities granted patents, 44 identified their location as being in Florida.
