This week USPTO granted 1070 utility, design, and plant patents to California-based inventors. This is the work of 2499 named inventors from 292 State municipalities. These numbers are based on the Way Better Count method of tracking patents and inventors.

As of October 20, 2015, the year to date Way Better Count of all patents granted to California-based inventors or companies shows 20131 patents granted to California inventors and 968 patents identified titleholders (assignees) who worked with inventors from the State.
